We support the development of clear speech sounds, from early sound errors right through to more complex articulation and phonological patterns. Therapy is play-based, evidence-informed and tailored to each child.
Clear speech is the foundation of being understood the first time, every time. It shapes a child’s confidence to speak up in class, join in play and be understood by the people around them.
We build both understanding (following instructions, grasping stories and concepts) and expression (vocabulary, sentence structure, telling a story) so children can make sense of the world around them and share their own ideas.
Language underpins almost every part of learning and connection, from following instructions at school to reading comprehension, problem-solving and building friendships.
We build the foundational skills behind reading and writing: phonological awareness, letter-sound knowledge and early comprehension. The approach is tailored to how each child learns best.

I’m the speech language pathologist behind CQ Speechie, working with children aged 4–12 right here in Rockhampton. My path here actually started in the classroom, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, before I went on to complete a Master’s in Speech Pathology. That combination is what makes CQ Speechie a little different. I don’t just understand communication difficulties from a clinical point of view; I understand how children actually learn, behave and engage day to day in the classroom and beyond, so therapy here is built around how kids really work, not just the textbook. With over seven years of clinical experience, I take a warm, evidence-based approach that meets every child where they’re at and keeps things feeling like play, not pressure.
